Shooting Untitled

After sending the Imaginary Friends (working title) project back into what they call "Development Hell" in the industry, we decided to blow the dust off an old project and shoot it for Devin's second film. Except that there was no dust on the old project and it wasn't very old. Described as a Bound meets Fatal Attraction meets Basic Instinct meets Psycho thriller, I think we shot a great story. It was a one day, two night shoot - of course the nights were very long nights, typically running into the next morning. But we got all of our shots done - I was DP on the film but had to step out due to clausterphobia in the bathroom. 2 700K tungsten lights + 4 people + 30 sq ft + no air circulation + 5 in the morning kinda freaked me out. I now understand why films with enough of a budget will just construct interiors... And now we're waiting on the film to get processed and telecine'ed. Fingers are crossed but I feel pretty confident with the 500 ASA film we were shooting with...10 stop latitude...would be difficult to mess up. I will say that I had a BLAST working on it though and the crew/cast are not only talented but a lot of fun to work with. Hope it won't be the last time. I was just listening to Nena Simone & Felix da Housecat - Sinnerman
